Fundraising
The Heritage Lottery Fund confirmed a grant of £1.37 million for the project in November 2006 and Historic Scotland has just confirmed a grant of £1.2 million. An endowment of £2.5 million has been given to the Trust from the Clerk family to ensure the long-term future of the house on completion of the project. There is still, however, a funding shortfall which the Trust needs to address to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
